Cleanses and detoxes, every once in a while, are incredibly good for the body, mind and soul. Especially when we have been putting a lot of crap into them. Which many of us did during 2020 and even into 2021. Covid has sucked for health! But I believe that’s starting to turn around and people are wanting to take back control of their health. But we each have to decide on our own when we are ready to take that control back. I know many, including myself, who have said they are going to cleanse, last one day and then are right back to old patterns. That’s why I usually instruct clients to just establish one good habit at a time and eliminate bad habits one at a time. Going full on in can often be a recipe for failure. Take things one habit at a time!
I am doing a full-on 30-day mind, body, spirit restore. Which took one of those moments where I was like “OMG. What am I doing?” It was a moment where I made up my mind to change my habits. And I had a realization that it would take more than just changing my eating and drinking habits. I needed to start with the most important thing…my spirit and connection to my higher power. Call it what you want…I call my higher power God/Jesus. I haven’t been nurturing my spiritual connection and making it a priority for a very long time. So, now I am making it a priority. And it’s been incredibly good for me.
In my opinion, each person needs to design their own idea of an effective Restore for them. That’s where I come in! There are so many different factors that should be personalized to each person before getting started. Of course, you can do the basics of drinking the amount of water needed for your body, eating healthier, establishing a morning routine…But if you really want to create amazing change, we need to explore what lights you up. What starts your day out with passion and zest? What works for me, might not work for you. And that’s totally ok. I have read a lot of books on the best morning routines to follow and have adjusted them to do what’s best for me. Although I did try to follow the authors routine to a T. It just wasn’t the right fit for me. And I always have ended up quitting about a week into trying.
In my personal opinion, a good restore not only detoxes and cleanses the body, but we dig deep into the soul. We want to ignite a fire and passion within you that lights you up from the inside out. Think back to what makes you feel giddy inside like when you were young. For me, it’s dancing. I love to dance! I love to spin! I love to move in all sorts of crazy directions! Even though half the time I end up in the wrong direction. But dancing is something that lights my soul on fire. And I don’t do it nearly enough. However, I do have it on my 30-day challenge to start dancing at least once a week. I’m hoping more, but hey, it’s a great start! And these challenges don’t have to be for just 30 days. You might find that some just turn into a lifestyle.
So, are you ready to make some real and lasting changes? Changes that come from the inside out? That light your soul on fire? Let’s set up a time to chat! Don’t wait any longer! I’m sure glad that I didn’t!
