What is Pilates?

Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health. In the words of Joseph Pilates, “In ten sessions, you’ll feel the difference, in twenty you’ll see the difference, and in thirty you’ll have a new body.”
Some conditions that may benefit from Pilates include: Chronic pain, Sports injuries, Back and neck pain, Muscle tension and stress, Pregnancy / Postpartum, Balance issues, Joint instability / pain, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Osteoporosis, Poor posture, Golf/Tennis elbow.

What to Wear

You’ll want to wear breathable, form-fitting clothing. Long hair should be tied back and dangling accessories removed for safety.

What to Bring

Our studios are equipped with filtered water dispensers, so bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated!

When to Arrive

Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in, take a quick tour of the studio, complete your liability waiver, and get prepared for class.

Group classes are designed small so that there is more personal attention. We want to make sure that we keep clients safe and that they feel that they are not just a number.

We also offer a variety of safe online classes that you can take from the comfort of your own home!

Meet Our Instructors!

Meet the owner of Pilates Plus Studios, Melissa Peda. Melissa is incredibly passionate about helping others live their best lives through exercise and nutrition. Over the years she has found she loves everything that includes injury rehabilitation, pain relief and injury prevention. She continues to study the most innovative ways to keep her clients feeling their best. Melissa is certified in Classical Pilates, Fascia Stretch Therapy, Life Stretch and the TB12 Sports Method. She also has a sister with Down syndrome and mom with MS, so she is passionate about working with those two communities to help them feel their best as well!

Brittney’s classes are upbeat, fun and challenging! She has an incredible energy about her that leaves clients leaving both sore and happy! As a former school teacher, she is incredible working with young adults, teens and those in the disability community. Don’t use the word can’t with her! She’ll show you, YES YOU CAN!

My name is Kristie Frazier and I LOVE my job! The minute I found Pilates, my life changed forever. I discovered Pilates while trying to find some form of exercise that was less traumatic for my own body. I fractured my hip many years ago, while serving in the U.S. Navy, and still had serious issues. I was amazed how quickly I felt my entire body start to change. My strength, flexibility and stability all improved exponentially. I knew then, this was my new career path. So I became a STOTT certified instructor. I am so passionate about teaching Pilates because I truly believe it is the best choice of exercise, no matter what you want to accomplish.
Perhaps the greatest thing about Pilates, EVERYONE can do it! No matter your age, gender o fitness level. I want to help all of my clients improve their lives and achieve whatever their goals may be. I love showing people the life changing benefits of Pilates! It is very important to me that every single client I have…. has a GREAT time while working as hard as possible. I work diligently to make my classes fun and upbeat, while still making sure my clients are doing things correctly. I want my people to gain as much knowledge and success as possible every session I have with them. I have always said “I am an acquired taste… some people get it, some don’t….And I respect them either way!” I take great pride in being my true self and developing honest and real relationships with every person I have the privilege to train. I believe that true happiness comes from doing what you love….and I absolutely LOVE what I do!!!!

 

Meet Jessica! She is fun and always comes in with a positive, upbeat attitude. Her classes vary between challenging or more rehabilitative depending on who is taking from her that day! She is fantastic story teller and has adventures from all around the world to help make your hour fly by!
